CRANIOSACRAL RELEASE

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral release, also known as craniosacral therapy (CST), is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork that focuses on the bones of the head, spinal column, and sacrum. The aim is to release tension and improve the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, which can enhance the body’s natural healing processes.

The Process

  1. Evaluation: The practitioner lightly places their hands on the patient’s body, often starting with the skull, to feel for the craniosacral rhythm.
  2. Diagnosis: Through touch, the practitioner assesses areas of the body where the craniosacral rhythm is restricted or imbalanced.
  3. Treatment: The practitioner uses gentle pressure techniques to release tension and restore balance to the craniosacral system. This can involve manipulating the bones of the skull, spine, and pelvis.
  4. Release: The goal is to release any restrictions in the craniosacral system to enhance the body's natural ability to heal itself.
